Em, I take pictures of streets in Dublin. Sometimes they’re ruined by tourists looking like tourists. Sometimes they’re ruined by just people. Which is probably why so many of my paintings tend to have no people - as you’ll see shortly when I post a whole load of new paintings.

    Great photo. I like the crisp, vertical lines against the crescent curve of the street. I’ve been working with some of my own photos and sketches of Dublin, and have a selection of “empty street” photos taken in the early morning on St. Patrick’s Day a few years back. I was the only tourist silly enough to be wandering around at that hour. Sorry if I got in one of your photos…

    as a b/w photo this has a timeless feel, sugar, even with people in it. i do understand why y’all prefer empty streets given what i’ve seen of y’alls other work (looking forward to the new works, too). i will NOT miss out this time! xoxo
