Blue Paint, Blue Sky

Long time readers will know that watching paint dry is something I thoroughly enjoy. Of course it’s easier if the paint takes in rain water and reflects a sky of blue.

Photo: Liberty Hall, Dublin

Liberty Hall doesn’t bother me quite as much as some of Dublin’s other monstrosities of its era - specifically Hawkins House and O’Connell Bridge House - and it does at least nod towards Busáras, but I’m certainly ready for a new incarnation.

I took this photo while standing on Tara Street (minding my own business).

Because of the impact of the Loop Line Bridge on the view of the Custom House, the site is a very prominent one and will continue to feature on postcards of Dublin.

Photo: Dublin Changing Rooms

Not wishing to glamourize grafitti, arson, or sport, but here’s a picture I took recently of changing rooms by a football (soccer) pitch in Dublin West.

Photo: Grassy Stuff

Frequently on the bicycle when I’ve seen feathery oceans of grassy stuff, mostly in central Ireland or the Plains States of America, I’ve stopped cycling, walked over and touched it.

This photo is of just a single plant. There is no ocean. But even single plants take me to places I’ll never see again.

I’m certainly open to being enlightened about whatever this stuff is called.

It’s My Ball

The first new video of Dog-Dog in some time - and you can tell, because I held the camera the wrong way.

Despite what you may hear, no children were distressed during the making of this video.

Photo: Blue and White

Here’s a photo I think would make a good poster, albeit just with a target customer base of 1. No cropping was done, and I spent ages trying to decide if I wanted skin in there. It’s not easy sneaking up behind people. (enlarge)

That thin strip of blue below the freaky Irish sky is the Irish Sea, again.

Dog-Dog’s Birthday Beach Trip

Dog-Dog just celebrated her 2nd birthday since moving to Ireland from America, and like last year she was in County Wexford for the event. So we went to the beach, where she behaved like any 8-year old would. You’ll probably want to enlarge it to see it properly:

Little Yellow Flower Things

Against light background or dark, with greenflies on them or not, in the rain or the dew, I’ve probably spent too much time looking at these little yellow flower things.

No, I haven’t asked anybody what they’re called.
