Photo: Geese Over Dublin West

This photo of a large flock of Geese flying over Dublin West I took last week while out with the dog. I’m weak on Geese but I think they’re Barnacle Geese. They caught my eye flying from over Chapelizod to Ballyfermot but then did a 180 degree turn.

Painting: To The Beach

Here’s the 2nd of 2 paintings finished recently that went to Moscow.
To The Beach
40.5 x 30.5 cm (16 x 12 inches)

I started this painting so many years ago I can’t even remember where exactly it’s of anymore. It was originally of a scene somewhere in the Killary Harbour area, the fjord that separates Connemara [...]

Painting: Coast, The West

Here’s a new painting finished a few days ago.
Coast, The West
23 x 18 cm (9 x 7 inches)

Sometimes with landscapes I start with somewhere in particular in mind, and then I take liberties which I hope results in a painting of my experience there. This is one of those times.
Coast, The West was [...]

Photo: Phoenix Park Tunnel

A photo of where the rail tunnel from Heuston to Connolly goes under the Phoenix Park. As you can see I was waiting for cyclists to fill that space.
This is down by Islandbridge, on what was once upon a time the main road from Dublin to Galway.

Photo: One Tree

A photo of a small tree, somewhere in Ireland. It’s not possible to talk about single trees without sounding corny, so that’s all I have for you.

Photo: Blue and White

Here’s a photo I think would make a good poster, albeit just with a target customer base of 1. No cropping was done, and I spent ages trying to decide if I wanted skin in there. It’s not easy sneaking up behind people. (enlarge)

Dog-Dog’s Birthday Beach Trip

Dog-Dog just celebrated her 2nd birthday since moving to Ireland from America, and like last year she was in County Wexford for the event. So we went to the beach, where she behaved like any 8-year old would. You’ll probably want to enlarge it to see it properly:

Photo: An Irish Beach

A photo from a day at the beach on Saturday. This is in Ireland’s sunny south east - in County Wexford - taken at the very point where I finished a 7-mile walk last year with Dog-dog.
